Courtney, Reflection 7

Target Audience: 5th/6th Grades
Big Idea: Communities/World
Overall Goal: For my students to learn about and understand how different types of technologies help the world, and how others are polluting the environment. This would show the students which technologies they should use and which kinds they should give up.
Standards: Social, Ethical, and Human Issues, and also Technolgy Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Tools
Possible Resources: The internet, and different movies about world pollution and global warming (i.e. An Inconvenient Truth).

Target Audience: 3rd/4th Grades
Big Idea: Rainforests: Environments and Inhabitants
Overall Goal: Have the students do research about the rainforest environments and the types of animals and plants that live and grow there. Also have the students learn about how to save the diminishing rainforests.
Standards: Technology Research Tools, Technology Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Tools
Possible Resources: Internet, Educational Videos, Animal Planet Specials

Target Audience: 1st/2nd Grades
Big Idea: Animals in different communities/environments
Overall Goal: To have students research different communities and the animals that live there. I also would hope that the students learn about the animals that need our help to keep surviving and what they could do in the future to keep animals off the endangered species list.
Standards: Basic Operations and Concepts, Technology Productivity Tools, Technology Research Tools, and Social, Ethical, and Human Issues
Possible Resources: Internet, Videos, Books
