Elyse, Reflection 6

I thought this video was interesting because students are engaged in real world projects. Two students are working on a graphic design project for software company. Students are working on computers with real time software and other graphic design software. They are using their other subjects like math and physics to help them create their design. The principal wants the students to demonstrate what they learn in class, this is a good and fun way for the students to show what they have learned. These projects challenge the students professionally and expose them to the business world. People think that schools need to find a way to use technology more throughout the school day.
The technology used in this video is very student-centered. It was the students who were on the computers developing the project. I think this is very good for the students because they are bringing together many subjects to demonstrate what they have learned in school.
I feel like all of the students are engaged in learning when they are using technology in the classroom. That is why I feel like teachers should use it. As a teacher I feel like it would be hard to keep all the students on task when they all have access to the internet at the same time. So I feel like there should be software on the computers that limits the websites that students can visit.
